Considering international travel? Easy self-test to meet CDC requirements.

As you may know, back in January, the CDC implemented a requirement for proof of negative COVID-19 test (or recovery from COVID-19 within 90 days) for all air passengers arriving in the United States. (international travel only) There are many ways to meet this requirement. During our recent trip to Italy, I had the opportunity to try out Abbott’s BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Ag "At-Home" Test. It's a proctored test that can be completed using any web-enabled mobile device with a camera. The per-test cost is approx. $25 and includes test proctor.

Here is a video of me completing the test followed by a second video of reading the results.

These videos are not super entertaining but you can see the process if you are considering using this testing method.

One important detail to note: the tests sold over the counter at pharmacies CANNOT be used for this proctored test. You must order them from a company such as eMed in conjunction with the NAVICA app, where you will receive your results. (https://www.emed.com/)

If you have questions, I'm happy to help - Happy traveling!
